Clear expectations about scope, timing, fees, changes and living materials make ambitious projects easier to navigate.
Design fees + ownership
Design services are billed by fixed phase or agreed hourly scope. Drawings remain Verdant’s intellectual property until accounts are paid and are licensed for the named site only.
Estimates + changes
Construction estimates are based on the approved scope and stated assumptions. Client-requested changes, concealed conditions and authority requirements are documented and priced before proceeding where practical.
Deposits + payments
A mobilization deposit reserves the construction window. Progress invoices are tied to defined milestones. Final payment is due at substantial completion, excluding documented deficiencies.
Weather + living materials
Weather, site moisture and plant availability can affect sequence and timing. Equivalent substitutions require approval. Plants are living material and warranties depend on irrigation and agreed care.
Site access + safety
Clients must provide safe access, disclose known services and keep children and pets away from active work areas. Verdant maintains daily site organization and appropriate trade safety procedures.
Cancellations + scheduling
Design meetings require two business days’ notice to reschedule. Construction timing is forecast rather than guaranteed and is updated as weather and preceding work become known.
Photography + privacy
Project photography is discussed at handover. No address, client name or identifying interior view is published without permission. Clients may decline marketing photography without affecting service.
